Grocery shopping culture shock — anyone else find this weirdly the hardest adjustment?

Of all things, grocery shopping has been the most disorienting part of settling in for me — different cuts of meat, unfamiliar brands, produce I don't recognise, a checkout system I fumbled through the first week. Feels like it shouldn't be a big deal but somehow it is.

Unfamiliar cuts of meat nearly did me in — I spent the first few weeks pointing and hoping for the best. Eventually made friends with the butcher counter and just started asking directly.

the checkout bagging speed nearly gave me a panic attack the first time, nobody warns you about that

Found one shop with English labelling early on and stuck to it religiously for the first month before branching out. Made the adjustment a lot less stressful.
