Making friends as an adult in a new country is HARD. No campus, colleagues who already have their circles. For those who cracked it — how did you actually build a local social life from zero?

A parents’ group worked well for me specifically because of the shared context — nobody needed the backstory explained, we were all just dealing with the same logistics.
