I shipped a box of books I've never opened and left behind the one kitchen gadget I now can't find anywhere here. The calculus of what's worth the shipping cost vs buying again is harder than it looks. What did you drag across the world and regret, and what would you never move without?

Shipped far too many books we now have nowhere to put and never got around to reading anyway. Would leave most of them behind if we did it again.

Regretted leaving a specific kitchen knife behind more than almost anything else shipped. Small thing, disproportionate daily annoyance.

OP here — the kitchen-gadget-versus-books pattern seems to be a running theme, good to know it’s not just me who got this calculation wrong.
