Opposite experience — went unfurnished first because it was slightly cheaper monthly, and honestly the process of slowly furnishing the place became a genuinely nice way to feel like it was mine rather than a temporary stop. Depends what headspace you're in, I think, more than a universal right answer.

Weighing this up right now. Furnished feels like less hassle for a first apartment, unfurnished feels like better value if I'm staying a while. For those who've done both — any regrets either direction?
