Worth adding: in several countries the official integration or language course is linked to the residency/citizenship timeline, and sometimes a completion certificate counts toward it. Whether that applies — and at what level — is country-specific, so check the Citizenship section of your guide before deciding purely on time cost; the course might be doing double duty.
One practical tip: ask whether you can join mid-module or do an evening cohort. I nearly skipped mine over the daytime hours until I found a twice-weekly evening group.
