Two worries once we land: finding a good vet, and the fact that half the rentals seem to say "no pets". How did you sort both without too much stress?

State the pet upfront in your rental search and use the pet-friendly filters — it saves you viewing places that'll say no at the last second. Honesty early filtered my search down fast.

Ask local pet groups for vet recommendations — the good ones fill by word of mouth and aren't always the ones that rank first online.

Some landlords want a pet deposit or a reference — I made a little "pet CV" with vaccination proof and a note from our old landlord. Sounds silly; it genuinely reassured people.

Register with a vet early, before any emergency — you want a number to call that already has your pet on file, not a frantic search at 9pm.

Pet-friendly filters + a pet CV + a vet lined up before I need one. Brilliant, that's both worries handled. Thank you all.
