Went through a refusal myself. Reapplied with a corrected document and it went through fine the second time — no extra scrutiny that I could tell.
Got a refusal on my first application, for what the letter describes as an issue with the format of one supporting document, though it's frustratingly vague beyond that. I'm allowed to reapply, but I'm anxious about making the same mistake twice without understanding what actually went wrong.
Has anyone here been through a refusal and successfully reapplied? A few things I'd love perspective on:
- Whether a second application gets extra scrutiny because of the first, or is treated fresh
- How people figured out what specifically to fix when the refusal letter is vague
- Whether it's worth paying for professional help at this stage versus trying again alone
Mostly just looking to hear from people who came out the other side of this, because right now it feels like a much bigger setback than it probably actually is.
