Quarantine duration: Minimum 30 days quarantine at the Government Quarantine Station (Animals). Quarantine starts on the day of arrival. Costs: approximately USD 50–150/week depending on animal size; confirm exact fees with the Mauritius Veterinary Services (MVS).

Vaccinations

Rabies vaccination — primary vaccination: given not less than 60 days and not more than 12 months before arrival. Booster: not less than 30 days and not more than 12 months before arrival. Rabies-Neutralising Antibodies Titration Test (RNATT) — required. Blood sample drawn at least 31 days after rabies vaccination and at least 90 days before travel to Mauritius. Must be conducted at an OIE-approved laboratory. Distemper, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus — dogs (required by Mauritius Veterinary Services) Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Panleukopenia, Feline Leukaemia (FeLV) — cats (required) Parasite treatment as required by import permit/vet instructions IMPORTANT: Dogs and cats must be neutered/spayed before import. Pregnant animals are not permitted entry.

🐕 Dog Tax / Registration
