New Zealand has an April-heavy annual update rhythm. Minimum wage, ACC levies, benefit rates, family payments, KiwiSaver rates, and many tax/transfer settings change around 1 April. The biggest 2026 change is the mandatory KiwiSaver employer contribution rate rising from 3% to 3.5% from 1 April 2026. Immigration wage thresholds updated in March 2026.
