Valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned stay. Original + 4 certified copies (photocopies). Required for all official processes. Keep a digital scan stored in email or cloud.

Required for Titre de Séjour application, CNSS enrolment, school registration, and marriage. Must be apostilled and translated into Arabic or French by a sworn translator.

Police clearance certificate from your home country required for Titre de Séjour (residence permit) and Autorisation de Travail (work permit). Tunisia is a Hague Apostille Convention member — apostille required. Must be issued within 3 months of application. Official translation into Arabic or French by a sworn translator required.

Issued by a Tunisian-approved doctor confirming you are free from contagious diseases. Required for Titre de Séjour application. Obtain from a private clinic or from the medical authority designated by the immigration office (DGPC).

Required for Autorisation de Travail (work permit) application. Must be an approved contract from a Tunisian employer, countersigned by the employer and submitted to the Agence Nationale pour l'Emploi et le Travail Indépendant (ANETI).

Rental contract (bail) or property ownership document required for Titre de Séjour application. If staying with a Tunisian host, a notarised hébergement (accommodation declaration) from the host is required.

Degree certificates and transcripts required for work permit applications in regulated professions. Must be officially translated into Arabic or French. MESRS (Ministry of Higher Education) handles academic recognition for teaching roles.

Multiple passport-size photos required for virtually every official application — Titre de Séjour, CNAM enrolment, CNSS enrolment, driving licence. Bring at least 10 photos in standard 3.5 × 4.5 cm format.

Proof of private health insurance or CNAM affiliation required for certain visa and residence permit applications. International health insurance documentation must be in French or Arabic.

Your home-country driving licence for international driving use (IDP recommended). To convert to a Tunisian permis de conduire, apply at the DTSR (Direction Territoriale des Services Routiers). EU and some other licences can be exchanged without a driving test.

Last 3–6 months bank statements from home country required for residence permit applications and some visa categories. Must demonstrate sufficient funds to support yourself without being a burden on the Tunisian state.

Assigned by DGI (Direction Générale des Impôts) upon starting work or self-employment. Required for tax returns, invoicing, and any interaction with the Tunisian tax authorities. Employer typically initiates registration for employees.

Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale card issued after employer enrols you in the Tunisian social security system. Required to access CNAM health insurance and accumulate pension entitlements. Employer initiates; typically received within 2–4 weeks of first employment.
