Payment Culture
Greece is increasingly card-friendly, especially in tourist areas and cities, but cash remains important in smaller towns, markets, tavernas, and for taxis. Always carry €20–40 in cash. Contactless payment (EFTPOS) is now required by law to be offered in most businesses.
