Most private Tadika accept rolling enrollment. Government preschools: register at nearest Sekolah Kebangsaan (national school) in August–September for the following January intake.

Documents: passport, visa/permit, birth certificate, parent's EP/DP/RP-T. Apply to Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri (State Education Department) for district assignment. SPM/O-Levels, A-Levels, IB, or foundation programme qualifications accepted. English proficiency: IELTS 6.0–6.5 or TOEFL 550+ typically required. Apply 3–6 months before intake.
🗣️ Language Courses
Bahasa Malaysia is required for citizenship application (DPTM standard). Essential for day-to-day life outside Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian locals will immediately appreciate any effort to speak BM — even basic phrases open doors socially.
English is widely spoken in KL and is the primary business language. However, formal English language instruction is available for those needing to improve professional English skills or prepare for IELTS.
Malaysian Mandarin (Putonghua) is widely spoken in Chinese Malaysian communities and in business dealings with Chinese-owned companies. A valuable skill for professional advancement in Malaysia's Chinese business community.
