💡 Never pay large deposits or purchase land without a full title search. Tanzania land law is complex — freehold titles are rarely available to foreigners; most expats use long-term leasehold or company structures. Confirm land classification, lease term, and municipal consent requirements before any commitment.

💡 Tanzania's Employment and Labour Relations Act provides protections for wages, termination, and discrimination. CMA mediation is mandatory before court for most individual labour disputes — it is free and often resolves disputes within weeks. Engage a lawyer for complex executive-level or cross-border matters.

💡 Official submissions to TRA, BRELA, immigration, and courts require translations from court-accepted translators. Confirm with the receiving authority whether they require a notarised translation, sworn translation, or simple certified translation before commissioning.

💡 Verify TIRA registration before purchasing any insurance. For medical evacuation: confirm the destination (Nairobi, Johannesburg, or home country), evacuation triggers, and pre-existing condition exclusions in writing. Medical evacuation cover is particularly important for expats living outside Dar es Salaam.
