Digital Services
Digital ID, e-government and essential apps in Thailand.
ThaiD / D.DOPA digital ID ecosystem
Thailand is expanding digital ID and e-government services around ThaiD and agency-specific portals. Full access is easiest for Thai citizens and permanent residents; foreign residents often need passport-based registration, branch verification or manual service desks.
How to get it: Foreigners should expect mixed access. Bring passport, visa, Thai phone number and address evidence when registering with banks, telecoms, tax portals, SSO or hospital apps. Some services require a Thai national ID number and will not fully support passport-only profiles.
E-Government Portal
https://www.thaievisa.go.thThailand is digital-first for payments and many private services, but government portals remain uneven for foreigners. Some immigration, tax and social-security tasks still require branch visits, printed forms or Thai-language support.
