Fiji (FJ)
A tropical South Pacific hub with English-language administration, strong tourism and NGO sectors, rich iTaukei and Indo-Fijian cultures, and a relaxed but paperwork-heavy expat lifestyle.

👶 Childcare & Kindergarten
Government support is targeted mainly through local education programmes rather than universal expat childcare subsidy.
Passport/birth certificate, immunisation record, emergency contacts and fee deposit.
Local families may access government education supports; expat eligibility depends on status and school.
Apply directly to school with documents, health record and assessment if required.
Use references, written employment terms, police checks and clear duties; confirm payroll/FNPF obligations if employing directly.
🏫 Schools
Apply to the school with birth certificate, passport/permit, previous reports, immunisation records and address/contact details.
Previous school records, exam results, permit/passport documents and school-specific placement interview may be required.
🌍 International Schools
Main expat options include International School Suva (ISS, iss.school.fj; 2026 expatriate fee schedule: FJD 4,267 to FJD 27,728+/year depending on year level and fee-payer category), Nadi International School, and selected private Christian or independent schools. ISS distinguishes between local and expatriate fee payers. Annual fees range from several thousand to over FJD 27,000 per year.
🎓 University
Apply directly to the university with certified academic records, passport, English evidence where needed, and student permit planning.
