September-November is warming, humid and increasingly wet toward cyclone season.

Bula is the everyday greeting. Handshakes, smiles and asking about family are common; village settings require more formal respect.
Business, school and flights expect punctuality, while social and village life can be more relaxed.
Urban business dress is neat and conservative. Villages and churches require modest clothing; avoid hats in villages and beachwear away from resorts.

📖 Brief History
Fiji was settled by Austronesian and Melanesian peoples, later became a British colony in 1874, received indentured labourers from India between 1879 and 1916, gained independence in 1970, and is now a multicultural parliamentary republic and regional Pacific hub.
