Digital Services
Digital ID, e-government and essential apps in Greenland.
CPR and MitID
CPR (civil registration number) is required for healthcare, tax, banking and all public services in Greenland. MitID is the digital login app used for Greenland- and Danish-linked government services, e-Boks and banking — now available in Greenlandic language with Greenlandic phone numbers as of 2026.
How to get it: Register with the municipality after receiving residence and work permission to obtain a CPR number. Activate MitID through official steps at mitid.dk using valid identity documents.
E-Government Portal
https://www.sullissivik.glMany services require CPR, MitID and Greenlandic or Danish language. Keep printed copies of documents during onboarding — internet connectivity can be limited or weather-disrupted outside Nuuk and larger towns.

Google Maps

Digital onboarding in Greenland depends on having the correct combination of passport, residence permit, CPR number, local Greenlandic phone number and a bank relationship. Start each step early — processes are slower than in Denmark mainland and weather can delay both physical and digital appointments.
