👶 Childcare & Kindergarten
Executive Yuan childcare subsidy (托育補助): NT$3,000–6,000/month off quasi-public facility fees (2026 rates). Eligibility requires the child to be enrolled at a licensed quasi-public provider; child must have household registration (戶籍). APRC holders with household registration are generally eligible; ARC-only holders without household registration face restrictions — check with your municipality's Social Affairs Bureau (社會局).
Register through the city's childcare platform (e.g., Taipei: social.gov.taipei; New Taipei: family.ntpc.gov.tw), submit: child household registration, parents' ID/ARC, employment proof (to confirm need), health records. Subsidy is applied automatically through the enrolled facility once approved.
Government childcare and preschool subsidies have expanded, but eligibility can depend on household registration and status.
Apply directly or through city allocation, submit health checks and residency documents.
Some registered childcare providers qualify for subsidies.
Contract privately; check registration with local government where relevant.
🏫 Schools
Local catchment enrolment based on household/residence records; foreign children can attend public schools with ARC/residency documents.
