Jordan National ID / Iqama (residence permit)
Jordan does not have a unified national digital eID for expats. The Iqama (residence permit card) is the primary identity document for foreign residents. The jordan.gov.jo e-government portal provides digital access to many services once registered with your national number or Iqama number.
How to get it: Register at jordan.gov.jo with your national number or Iqama number. The Iqama itself is issued by the Directorate of Residency and Borders Affairs (DRBA) — apply through your employer or immigration sponsor after arrival.
E-Government Portal
https://www.jordan.gov.joThe Jordan e-Government portal covers 800+ services. Many services are partially online but still require in-person visits for document submission and biometric collection. Portal is primarily Arabic; some sections in English. A national number or Iqama number is required to create an account.
