EDS (Electronic Digital Signature / Электронная Цифровая Подпись)
The EDS is Kazakhstan's national electronic identity and digital signature system. It authenticates individuals for all government online services and electronic document signing. Required for eGov.kz transactions, ИП registration, tax filing, banking portals and AIFC services.
How to get it: Install NCALayer (nca.rib.kz) on your computer. Visit a ЦОН (government service centre) with your IIN (Individual Identification Number) and passport. Download your EDS certificate to a USB drive or use the eGov Mobile app's built-in key storage. Free, valid for 1 year and renewable online. The mobile NCAMobile app enables day-to-day document signing from your phone.
E-Government Portal
https://egov.kzeGov Mobile app available on iOS and Android — provides push notifications for application status updates. EDS setup via NCALayer is required before using government services. The Kaspi.kz super-app handles most daily payment needs independently. 2GIS is more accurate than Google Maps for Kazakhstani addresses.
