Yerevan has gyms, dance studios, martial arts centres, climbing gyms, football pitches, swimming pools, and a strong café culture. Armenia's real outdoor gem is its landscape: the country is highly diverse, with hiking in the Caucasus mountain ranges, swimming and sailing on Lake Sevan, skiing at Tsaghkadzor, and world-class rock climbing at Khachkar formations. Yerevan is a 90-minute drive from Sevan and under one hour (56 km) from the major ski area at Tsaghkadzor.
