📋 Relocation Process

1. Implant ISO 11784/11785 microchip. 2. Vaccinate for rabies (after microchip). 3. Arrange FAVN titre test at an EU-approved laboratory at least 30 days after vaccination — entry is permitted at most 3 months after blood collection. 4. Apply for Import Permit from UOVZ (UO Veterinaire Zaken, uovz.cw) at least 6–8 weeks before travel — apply online. 5. Within 2 weeks of travel, obtain health certificate from a licensed vet, endorsed by your government veterinary authority. 6. Administer parasite treatment before travel to ensure pet is tick- and parasite-free. 7. Arrive at Hato International Airport with all original documents; UOVZ officer inspects on arrival.

Apply to UOVZ at least 6–8 weeks before travel. The FAVN titre test must be conducted at an EU-approved laboratory — confirm the current approved lab list with UOVZ before testing. Dogs and cats from South and Central America (except Suriname) are not permitted. Reptiles are generally restricted — confirm with UOVZ before attempting to import. Plan at least 3–6 months from start to travel date.
