No government subsidy for expat children. Some employers include nursery allowance in professional packages.

Education City hosts several university branch campuses. Key CBSE/Indian curriculum schools: GEMS Modern Academy, DPS Modern Indian School, Indian School Doha (public, lower cost). French: Lycée Voltaire Doha. Arabic medium/Islamic: multiple options for Arab expats. Annual fees range from QAR 20,000–40,000 (Indian curriculum) to QAR 125,000+ (US/British premium schools). Waiting lists: 3–18 months for top schools — apply immediately on knowing your move date.
🎓 University
Apply directly to each Education City institution via their own admissions portals (same as US applications for US-branch campuses). Qatar University: through QU website. Admission requirements: high school transcripts, standardised tests (SAT/ACT for US-branch campuses), English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL), personal statement.
🗣️ Language Courses
High quality university Arabic programme. Standard Modern Arabic (MSA) and some Qatari dialect (Khaleeji) options.
English language courses (IELTS preparation, Business English) as well as Arabic for English speakers. IELTS testing centre.
Multiple private language schools across Doha offer Arabic for expats. Community Facebook groups often recommend smaller, affordable tutors (QAR 50–100/hour private tuition).
