British and Irish citizens move within the Common Travel Area (CTA — UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) without immigration entry clearance, though work-permit controls can still apply in the Isle of Man. Other nationalities must check Isle of Man immigration rules, which are closely aligned with, but not identical to, UK rules. Visitors from visa-required nationalities for the UK will generally also require permission to enter the Isle of Man.
