Finding lawyers, accountants, doctors and other professionals in Moldova.
In Moldova, professional services are concentrated in Chișinău and primarily in Romanian and Russian. English-language services exist but carry a premium. Personal recommendations from the expat community are the most reliable way to find trustworthy professionals. Always verify licences (Baroul, CNPF, notar.md registers are all public online). Agree fees in writing before engaging any professional. Be cautious of very low prices for complex work — quality and reliability vary widely in the informal market.
Language options: Romanian is the default language for all professional services. Russian is widely spoken by professionals over 40 and is an alternative in most firms. English is available at international firms (KPMG, PwC, Schönherr, Re/Max), a growing number of IT-sector specialists, and some lawyers and accountants who trained internationally.
