Belize 2026 expat planning centres on a raised minimum wage (BZ$5.00/hour since January 2025), an updated income-tax personal threshold (BZ$29,000/year), 12.5% GST with mandatory e-invoicing rolling out in 2026, QRP and work-permit maintenance, and private healthcare with medevac cover. The Belize Tax Service is transitioning to a semi-autonomous revenue authority (SARA).
