Citizens of the USA, Canada, UK, EU/EEA member states, Australia, New Zealand, and most Commonwealth countries receive a 30-day tourist stamp on arrival with no prior visa required. Foreign nationals aged 40+ with qualifying pension or other income of at least USD 2,000/month.

- ✓Qualifying income of USD 2,000+/month (pension, annuity, or investment income)
- ✓Clean criminal record (police clearance, apostilled)
- ✓Medical certificate from licensed Belizean doctor
- ✓Application form submitted to Belize Tourism Board
Permanent Residency
Foreign nationals with 1 year of continuous legal residence in Belize under a valid permit.
3–12 months

No dedicated digital nomad visa
Digital NomadBelize does not offer a dedicated digital nomad visa as of 2026. Remote workers most commonly enter on a 30-day tourist stamp (extendable monthly up to 6 months). For longer stays, the QRP (age 40+, USD 2,000/month qualifying income) offers legal long-term residence. The QRP allows work conducted exclusively with non-Belizean clients outside Belize.
