e-Građani (e-Citizens)
Croatia's national digital identity and e-government portal at gov.hr/e-Građani. Provides authenticated access to hundreds of government services for registered Croatian residents. Uses NIAS (National Identification and Authentication System) for secure login.
How to get it: Register at the e-Građani portal (gov.hr) using: (1) Croatian national ID card with chip reader, (2) FINA certificate (token or card), (3) HT authentication, or (4) bank-issued digital identity. EU citizens can register using their national digital ID where supported. Register the system via an authorised FINA point or online with a compatible ID document.
E-Government Portal
https://gov.hrCroatia's e-government services have improved significantly but are less advanced than some Northern European counterparts. Many processes still require in-person visits, particularly for first-time registrations (MUP, HZZO). Language barrier: virtually all Croatian government digital services are only in Croatian — Google Translate is commonly needed. EU citizens can sometimes access services via their home EU digital ID (eIDAS interoperability improving).
