- 3 3. Register with the Gibraltar Income Tax Office (ITO) — obtain a Gibraltar tax reference number. Required before issuing invoices or receiving income. Application: in person or by post to ITO, 331 Main Street.
- 4 4. Register with the Gibraltar Social Insurance Office (SIO) as self-employed — pay 20% of net assessable earnings weekly. Registration: Europort, Gibraltar.
- 5 5. Open a Gibraltar business bank account (Barclays, NatWest, or GIB). Required for Ltd companies; recommended for sole traders.

- 7 7. File annual income tax return (Form ITS100) with the ITO by 30 November each year (tax year: 1 July–30 June). Choose GIBS or ABS scheme for income tax calculation.
- 8 8. Pay corporation tax (10%) if using a Ltd company — file with ITO after each financial year end. Accountant strongly recommended.
